Cyber Security and CIP Compliance
Currently implementing IT projects supporting cyber security infrastructure for Fortune 500 utility holding company's bulk electric system. Responsible for CIP compliance for cyber security projects managed by SAIC for Entergy's Energy Delivery business.
Risk Management System Deployment
Managed design/deployment of a risk management system for Puget Sound Energy. Developed the overall project work plan, budget and schedule, managed development of requirements and requirements mapping through design and go-live. Managed and tracked defects and problems.
Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) & Energy Efficiency
Performed compliance audit of Puget Sound Energy's energy efficiency program offerings. Identified, evaluated, and successfully testified in support of cost-recovery for energy efficiency and demand-side management measures and developed program portfolios for Cinergy (now Duke Power) for 6 years. Managed retail regulated demand and energy efficiency programs when Cinergy outsourced the function. Developed RFPs & managed selection for traditional & alternative resources. Ensured compliance with code of conduct and affiliate transaction rules.
Business Process Analysis, Management & Improvement
Analyzed business processes for SAIC's application support teams providing outsourced IT services to supply chain, HR, data warehouse, information services, and customer care business units. Developed metrics and targets, dashboards, automated data collection and reporting. Prepared prioritized action plans and KPIs for improvement. Identified opportunities to enhance support services and revenue.
Alternative Energy Feasibility Studies
Evaluated renewable, waste to energy, energy efficiency, and advanced metering/smart grid projects overseas. Most recently completed evaluations of projects in South Africa. Recommended projects competed for and were awarded grants by US Trade Development Agency.
Large Data Center Relocations and Disaster Recovery
Managed a program of more than 100 projects to build a new Data Center in Little Rock, Arkansas and relocate from vulnerable Data Center in New Orleans. Projects affected hundreds of infrastructure and business applications hosted on Windows, Unix, and combined software platforms and required extensive change management and coordination and testing to avoid customer impacts. Involved large, complex storage systems using EMC Symmetrix, CLARiiON and MicroSoft software and complex Disaster Recovery systems.
